Scientific Anglers Absolute Salmon Leader 15 ft is a tapered nylon leader designed for salmon, steelhead and sea trout fishing in rivers. The 15 ft / 4.57 m length is particularly suitable for longer rods, larger rivers and situations where a more discreet presentation is required for spooky fish.
The strong butt section helps transfer energy efficiently from the fly line, while the progressive taper provides smooth turnover and clean presentation of the fly. The material remains supple enough to allow tube flies or conventional hook flies to land softly and under control.
The Absolute range uses a special nylon blend designed to significantly reduce water absorption. Scientific Anglers states that Absolute nylon provides 29% higher wet knot strength compared with its previous materials. The material also offers high abrasion resistance and UV resistance.
The packaging is made from paper-based materials and is 100% recyclable. According to the manufacturer, the materials, inks and other packaging components are biodegradable.
