Vision Hero Nymph & Dry is a fly reel designed for longer rods and fine nymphing setups while also working well with conventional WF fly lines. The #3–5 size makes it a versatile choice for Euro nymphing and dry-fly fishing.
Why Hero Nymph & Dry: the Full Rim construction helps prevent thin nymphing lines and monofilament from slipping between the frame and spool, the narrow Large Arbor spool supports fast line retrieval and even line lay, and the reel is designed to balance longer nymphing rods.
Designed for nymphing and dry flies
Vision recommends this model for #3 to #5 rods with standard WF fly lines as well as dedicated nymphing lines. The Full Rim frame is particularly practical when working with very thin lines and leaders.
An original Vision Hero Nymph & Dry spare spool is also available, allowing you to keep a second line ready and change setups quickly on the water.
Construction and drag
Hero is a semi-machined reel with a CNC-machined die-cast frame and spool. The disc drag system uses five carbon and stainless-steel discs. On this size, the spool is released with a simple screw mechanism for quick changes.
