Umpqua XC210BL-BN Mega Gap Perdigon – a strong hook for big fish
Small hook, serious strength. The Umpqua XC210BL-BN Mega Gap Perdigon is a barbless fly-tying hook designed for perdigon patterns and nymphs with oversized tungsten beads. Its reinforced 1X Heavy wire makes it an excellent choice when even a tiny nymph might be taken by a large trout or another powerful fish.
The extra-wide Mega Gap leaves room for the hook point to engage even when you use a large bead. The downturned eye allows the bead to sit closer to the eye, freeing more of the shank for a well-proportioned fly. A 1X Short shank and forged bend complete the sturdy design.
