Scientific Anglers UST – Ultimate Scandi Taper is a Scandi shooting head developed for two-handed rods and efficient underhand/Spey casting. Its taper helps load the rod quickly, change casting direction and maintain controlled fly delivery.
Two density options are available. Both are rated #10/11, measure 12.8 m and weigh 42 g / 650 grains.
Density options
- H/I – Hover / Intermediate: a versatile option for fishing the fly just below the surface with a subtle presentation.
- I/S2/S4 – Intermediate / Sink 2 / Sink 4: a triple-density head for fishing deeper; the Intermediate rear section helps maintain fly speed while the Sink 4 front section takes the fly down while retaining good contact.
