Patagonia Men’s Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket is a new-generation versatile technical jacket for fly anglers fishing in rain, wind and rapidly changing weather. Style 81772 has been redesigned from the previous generation with a focus on all-day comfort, improved hood and collar protection, and more refined details for wading.

What changed from the previous generation
The new model features a revised hood with an integrated rain gutter, a more comfortable collar design and redesigned low-profile cuffs. The hood is shaped to fit over a ball cap or beanie without significantly restricting visibility. The fit remains roomy enough for functional layering in colder conditions.
Patagonia customer experience
Patagonia’s official product page currently shows one verified review for the new model. After using the jacket on a wet and windy day in the Hebrides, the customer praised the comfort, adjustable fit, quality materials and the fact that it kept him dry. He also noted two improvements he would welcome: waterproof pocket zippers and the ability to stow the hood in the collar. We therefore do not treat the pockets as a substitute for a waterproof phone or document pouch when wading deep.
