A switch rod combining single-hand control with double-hand power
LOOP Trak Switch 11' #7 is a versatile switch fly rod for anglers who want to combine the precise control of a shorter rod with the advantages of double-handed techniques. The Trak 7110 is designed for both overhead and Spey casting, swinging flies and efficiently covering larger rivers.
Its Medium Fast action loads progressively and recovers quickly, keeping the rod user-friendly to cast while providing enough reserve for larger flies and powerful fish. LOOP positions it primarily for salmon, steelhead, trout and char.

Why Switch?
A switch rod sits between a classic single-handed rod and a full double-handed rod. At 11 feet, it provides greater line control and reach on the river while retaining a more compact and versatile character. The Trak Switch therefore makes sense when you want to alternate between conventional overhead casting and Spey techniques as conditions change, without changing rods.
When swinging flies on larger rivers, the longer blank helps manage the line and change presentation angles more effectively. The #7 rating also provides enough power for larger flies and more demanding conditions.
TRAK series construction
LOOP built the TRAK series around a light and responsive carbon-fibre blank with an emphasis on efficient loading and fast rod recovery. The matte green blank is complemented by subtle accents, a contoured AAA cork handle and a durable reel seat with a carbon insert.
The guides are designed to minimise line friction. Stainless-steel stripping and snake guides support smooth line shooting, while the first stripping guide uses a zirconia insert.
