G.Loomis IMX-PRO V2 is a modern freshwater fly rod designed for a wide range of techniques – from delicate dry-fly presentations to nymphing, fishing wet flies, and working with streamers. The series offers rods in lengths 9’0”, 10’0” and 8’10” across AFTMA classes #4–#8, covering everything from small trout streams to large rivers and stillwater fishing.
The construction combines Conduit Core and the GL7 Resin System, reducing the rod’s weight while increasing strength and impact resistance. The result is a sensitive yet extremely stable blank that delivers precise energy transfer during casting and fish fighting. Thanks to this balance, the IMX-PRO V2 responds to subtle inputs while maintaining enough power for larger fish.
IMX-PRO V2 rods are equipped with chrome single-foot guides, a hook keeper (on most models), and a high-quality cork handle shaped according to the AFTMA line class. The reel seat is made of anodized aluminum with a laser-engraved G.Loomis logo, ensuring durability and secure reel attachment. Each rod comes in a protective cloth bag and a sturdy rod tube.
The series includes versatile river models 490-4, 590-4 and 690-4, longer rods 4100-4, 5100-4, 6100-4, 7100-4 and 8100-4 for big rivers and stillwater fishing, and dedicated short streamer models 7810-4 and 8810-4.
