FLYMEN Senyo’s Articulated Shank – shanks for streamers
Fish-Skull Senyo’s Articulated Shank for Steelhead & Salmon Flies is a specialized fly-tying shank developed in collaboration with fly designer Greg Senyo. It is primarily intended for Intruder-style steelhead and salmon flies, where a solid tying platform and the ability to attach a separate trailing hook are particularly useful.
- Upturned front loop eye – a distinctive feature of Senyo’s design.
- Strong stainless steel wire – suitable for freshwater and saltwater fly patterns.
- Smaller rear loop – accommodates a direct hook attachment or trailer/stinger hook wire.
- Black finish – a discreet color underneath fly-tying materials.
- 25 mm and 40 mm lengths – 20 shanks per pack in both sizes.
Which flies are these shanks suitable for?
These shanks are designed primarily for modern salmon and steelhead Intruder patterns, but can also be used when tying other streamers with a separate trailing hook. Tying materials are secured to the shank; the hook is attached to the rear loop directly or with suitable trailer hook wire, allowing the hook to be separate from the rigid fly body.
