VARIVAS Super Tippet Master Spec II Fluorocarbon is a Japanese fluorocarbon tippet for fly anglers who want high sensitivity, abrasion resistance and low visibility in the water. Fluorocarbon is naturally firmer than nylon, helping transfer energy and turn over the leader, especially in wind or with larger flies.

Why fluorocarbon?
Fluorocarbon has a refractive index close to water, making it less conspicuous below the surface than standard nylon. It also has low initial stretch, good sensitivity and strong resistance when it contacts rocks, vegetation or other obstacles. Its higher density helps the tippet sink, which is useful for nymphing, wet flies and other techniques where you do not want the terminal section to stay on the surface.
VARIVAS technologies
STC – Smooth Tech Coating is a special PFOA-free water-repellent surface treatment that significantly reduces friction, limits water absorption and helps improve durability and service life.
NON – Non-Stress Coating reduces stress on the material from water absorption, UV exposure and salt, helping it retain strength.
