G. Loomis NRX+ S Fly Saltwater is a premium saltwater fly rod designed for anglers who demand precision, confidence and reserve power when conditions become less than ideal. It combines a modern fast, highly responsive character with the touch needed for shorter technical shots, while still delivering high line speed, stable loops and the lifting power required for larger flies and stronger fish.

790-4 (9'0" #7, 4pc)
The lightest model in our current lineup. A great choice when you want fast response, high precision and a slightly lighter presentation while still keeping the unmistakable saltwater reserve power of the NRX+ S series.

890-4 (9'0" #8, 4pc)
The most versatile model in our current lineup. An excellent all-around choice for a wide range of inshore and flats situations where you need a balanced combination of presentation control, line speed and enough power for most common saltwater species.

1290-4 (9'0" #12, 4pc)
A true power specialist for large flies, demanding conditions and significantly stronger fish. This model represents a completely different level of authority and lifting power, including the larger Handle B profile for better leverage and control with a 12wt setup.

Handle Profiles

The NRX+ S Fly Saltwater series uses different handle profiles depending on line class and intended application.

• Handle A – models 790-4, 890-4, 990-4, 1090-4 and 1190-4
• Handle B – model 1290-4

Lighter and more versatile models use the more compact Handle A, while the heaviest model, 1290-4, features the more robust Handle B profile for greater leverage, support and control when fishing a 12wt setup.
